About

Bruno Marinho

Hi! I'm Bruno Marinho. A software interface designer.

I care about the craft and utility of interfaces. Most recently, senior designer at Meta Reality Labs. Worked on Social, Home, Meta AI, and Horizon OS. Before that: Indiegogo, Celery (YC S12), Pond5, and Peixe Urbano.

I'm allergic to process for process's sake and unnecessary hierarchy.

In my spare time (rare since becoming a parent), I build side projects that solve my own daily frustrations, make music as Supervised, and occasionally pretend I'm a photographer. One of my photos somehow ended up as a hero image on a Strava landing page, which remains a small victory in a career I never pursued. I've been working remotely since 2013, way before it was cool.

Experience

Meta

Spatial interface design for Horizon OS, Meta AI on Quest, Quest Home, and social surfaces including Messenger. Shipped OS-level interaction patterns, a voice-first AI assistant under executive pressure, and the foundation for social apps on the headset.

Indiegogo

Redesigned the platform's highest-traffic pages: campaign, pre-launch, and checkout. Built the design system that unified them. Measurable conversion improvements across mobile and desktop.

Celery

Lead designer. Brand, platform redesign, shipping rules system. Took a generic product and gave it a point of view. Acquired by Indiegogo.

Pond5

Platform redesign, category taxonomy, and the public domain media collection initiative.

Peixe Urbano

Design system across platforms, iOS app, and revenue-driven redesigns during high growth.
