Earlier in my career, right after my graduation in 2005, I worked as an art director on advertising agencies in Rio, but I quickly realized that I didn't want to help on selling lies to the masses.
I then shifted my work towards branding, graphic, and web design. In 2011 I had the opportunity to join the Peixe Urbano product team as the second designer. It was my first time working with a startup, and I knew it was my thing. After that, I decided that I wanted to get a work visa and move to the US to work with more startups.
From 2013 to 2017, I worked remotely as a contractor for Pond5, Celery, and Indiegogo. Remote work helped me to improve my communication and collaboration skills while experiencing different cultures across the world.
Most recently, in 2018, I finally got my H1b visa and moved from Rio de Janeiro to San Francisco to work with Indiegogo as a Senior Product Designer.
